After a long hiatus away from serious photography, 2019 saw Del decide to rediscover the wonders of photography and explore the world of digital photography and he's been putting together an impressive portfolio of work since then.
Focussing mainly on landscape and semi-abstract shots, these photos are the result of much trekking around New Zealand - from the beaches north of Wellington to the Wairarapa and Marlborough. Del’s photographic journeys have been somewhat curtailed in recent months due to the Covid 19 lockdowns but hopefully he’ll be out and about again soon making more interesting shots to exhibit here.
This page contains samples of some of his work.
Prints, in a variety of sizes, are available and the larger sizes will be limited to editions of no more than 50, signed and numbered by Del so you'll know that you're buying a limited edition print on the best quality photographic paper available. Once these numbered editions are sold out then no more copies will be made available - and that’s a promise.

My 2022 calendar is now available and ready for shipping. It’s in A4 horizontal format suitable for hanging on your wall and features 12 images taken around the Plimmerton/Mana area north of Wellington and further afield on the Kapiti coast. No other calendar is quite like it with a mix of beautifully detailed images and some more ‘artistic’, almost painterly abstract images in my favourite ICM style. So, don’t hang about too long to order a copy of a small piece of local artwork to hang on your wall.
Here’s just a few of the images to tempt you…
And here are some of Del’s other images which are available as prints.

The following 2 images were specially commissioned by Mana Cruising Club to display as large A0 sized canvas prints in their restaurant. The dinghy lockers were erected in the early 1960’s shortly after the club was formed and, while past their best now, they are an important part of the club’s history and they commissioned me to record them for posterity. People seem to love the shabby paintwork and rustic nature of the multi coloured doors so I think I must have done a good job of capturing this image.
The stretch of water between Plimmerton and Mana Island with its notorious reef and sandbar is another part of the history of Mana Cruising Club and seasoned boaties can still get caught out by the tide coming over the bar! The club uses this area for its Sunday yacht racing programmes - but only when high tide allows!
